Painting 2' / Abstract
More work from back home.
This is the second painting I'm currently working on for my client. Red, black and yellow are strictly the only colours I'm using. I'm trying to capture strict and modern tones. The contrast between red and black is meant to grab the eye and the 'soon-to-be-added yellow' will complete a composition of distinct colours combinations.
To me, this is more like a highlight of how the right colour combinations can create powerful outcomes, even if the black part covers less surface than the red; and the 'soon-to-be-added yellow' will cover even less.
More pictures as soon as I finish it.

Summer Work 2012
I'm currently working on some paintings for a client. I can't reveal too much about the work or the client but he wants 5 large scale abstract paintings with bright colours. The first painting is a combination of blue and red on an A1 canvas. I'm trying to get specific movements of the acrylic using the roller. There is a deep blue colour which is used for the background and red, yellow and white to create layers of explosive bright colours.
Have a look on what I did so far. Not sure what the result is going to look like, but that's definitely a start for some more fine art upcoming work..

D&AD New Blood
University of Westminster 2012 D&AD New Blood participation. I've been chosen among a number of 3rd year Illustration students in my class to display my work at the show. An exciting and motivating project, which hosted fresh new talent, coming right out of their bachelor degrees.
'15.43It's not just the work on display catching the eye, there's some darn fine business cards on show too. University of Westminster business cards. Nice. '
Check out the lovely compliment we received from the people of D&AD http://www.dandad.org/dandad/latest/news/new-blood-liveblog
Stills from my moving image work, as part of my major project for the university.
Logo Design for Website
Logo design that I made for VD Vlegel Production. The company is owned by recent Media graduate, Liesbeth Van de Vlegel.
The above design is the one used for the official website of the company. To have a look at my logo and find out more about the VD Vlegel production click here http://vlegel.wordpress.com/
I designed each letter of the logo separately using ink drawings that I made. I've taken certain parts of the drawings and placed them onto each letter of the logo. For the Typefont I used Tw Cen MT Condensed Size. The colour choice was made by Liesbeth.
I designed 6 final logos. There are slight changes on the colour combinations of each letter, the brackets and some extra decorations.
Short video of the logo design, made by Liesbeth Van de Vlegel. Music from James Vincent McMorrow - We Don't Eat.
